Yesterday (18 June, 2000)
the earth quaked again here in Italy. The
earthquake was rather strong; its epicentre was located in Emilia Romagna and
it was heard and felt even in Milan.
Nobody was killed, however many people were frightened. As usual, seismologists
have given explanations of why the earth trembled. But why does the earth
tremble, according to the Bible? The Word of God clearly states that the
earth trembles at the wrath of God, as it is written: “But the LORD is the
true God, he is the living God, and an everlasting king: at his wrath the
earth shall tremble, and the nations shall not be able to abide his
indignation” (Jeremiah 10:10).

Earthquakes
are then God’s judgements, which He sends upon this wicked and corrupt world,
which judgements are all just. Therefore, no matter what the seismologists
say to explain earthquakes, the earth will tremble again and again also here
in Italy
because of God’s indignation against this so called Christian country because
of the wickedness which exist in it.
