What we believe and teach

- Bondservants and masters -

Christians must labor, working with their hands what is good, so that they may supply their own needs and the needs of their own families, and may have something to share with those in need. Lazy people, therefore, must be admonished and exhorted to work in quietness and to eat their own bread.

Bondservants must be obedient to those who are their masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in sincerity of heart, as to Christ; not with eyeservice, as men-pleasers, but as bondservants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart, with goodwill doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men. Bondservants must not talk back to their masters and they must not steal from them, but they must show all good fidelity, that the doctrine of God may be honored. Those bondservants who are disloyal and deceitful will be punished by God in His own time.

Masters must give their bondservants what is just and fair, and they must give up threatening. Those masters who are unjust and keep back by fraud the wages of their bondservants sin and they will be punished by God in His own time.
